Hair Transplant Center in Istanbul

Follicular unit extraction - FUE What is a hair transplant?
A hair transplant is a procedure in which a plastic or dermatological surgeon moves hair to a bald area of the head. The surgeon usually moves hair from the back or side of the head to the front or top of the head.
Hair transplants typically occur in a medical office under local anesthesia.
Pattern baldness is responsible for the majority of hair loss. This comes down to genetics. The remaining cases are due to a variety of factors, including:
  • diet
  • stress
  • illness
  • hormonal imbalance
  • medications
How do you treat HFE?
The standard treatment of HFE-hemochromatosis is simple, as the body's excess iron is removed by repeated lettings of whole blood (phlebotomy) [63, 64]. It is an effective and low-cost procedure to reduce iron overload and there are few side effects
What is HFE hemochromatosis?
Hereditary hemochromatosis is a disorder that causes the body to absorb too much iron from the diet. The excess iron is stored in the body's tissues and organs, particularly the skin, heart, liver , pancreas , and joints.
What does HFE gene stand for?
The naming of the hemochromatosis gene “HFE” stands for “High Iron.” Fe is iron's chemical symbol, so when you put the H with the FE… you get the HFE gene.
How is genetic hemochromatosis treated?
Doctors can treat hereditary hemochromatosis safely and effectively by removing blood from your body (phlebotomy) on a regular basis, just as if you were donating blood. The goal of phlebotomy is to reduce your iron levels to normal.
What foods reduce iron levels?
Grains, beans, nuts, and seeds
All grains, legumes, seeds, and nuts contain phytic acid, or phytate, which reduces iron absorption. Eating foods high in phytates, such as beans, nuts, and whole grains, reduces the absorption of nonheme iron from plant foods. As a result, it may reduce total iron levels in the body.
Hair Transplant Methods
FUE is a method which was developed after the FUT method had lost its validity. With the FUE hair extraction method, hair follicles are taken from the donor area between the ears with the help of a specially developed micro motor or extraction needle as small as 0,5 – 0,9 mm.
This method has developed quickly; so even though it’s newer than FUT it became more popular in a short time. The most important preference factor for the standard FUE method is that surgical tools are highly developed which enable quick and non-invasive methods for hair follicle extraction.
Today, micro motors used manually or electronically have taken the place of hand operated needles. These devices allow non-problematic extraction of hair follicles. Operation time is reduced from 2 days to a mere 3-4 hours and provides great convenience for the patients. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a hair transplantation method which is widely used due to its advantages. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is the first method that comes to mind in the hair transplantation field.
This has an undeniable reason: FUE hair transplantation is a painless operation in which the patient can go back to their normal life in a short time and this method does not include any cuts or stitches. No visible, permanent scarring can be seen in the donor area where hair follicles are extracted. Also with this method it is possible to transplant body hairs.
PRP Supported Hair Transplant
What it PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?
PRP is used for quick healing of the scars and supporting quick hair growth. PRP treatment helps weak hair follicles vulnerable to be loss to gain to be revitalized. In patients to whom a PRP treatment is applied, it has been observed that hair loss is relatively less in the area in the operation areae and the hair grows more strongly. In the hair transplant operation, scars of patients who had PRP support beforehand heal more quickly. After the operation the red spots and scabbed areas disappear quickly and hair growth capacity increases in the area in which the hair is transplanted.
PRP has lots of platelets gained from the blood of the patient. Blood is drawn from the patient before the procedure and PRP is obtained. When the patient’s own blood is used there is no need for measuring the immune response. Also, PRP does not cause any allergic reaction.
  • How is PRP liquid obtained?
As in all blood laboratories, 10 cc of blood is drawn from the patient to be treated with PRP.
Drawn blood is transferred to a special device in a sterile tube for the purposes of obtaining the platelet rich part of blood.
Blood cells are spun in a centrifuge and the platelet rich cells of the blood is densified.
Platelet rate in PRP can be increased 4-8 times with this procedure. The studies showed that the growth factor of the hair follicles depends on the platelets.
  • How is PRP liquid applied?
First, anesthesia is applied. Then the PRP liquid is injected into the hair roots. The injection process is painless and takes a short time (2-3 minutes). Patients can then go back to their normal daily lives and there will be no swelling or bruising after this procedure.
  • Who can benefit from PRP liquid?
People who have seasonal or genetic hair loss or people with thin and weak hair can be treated with PRP.
  • PRP in hair transplantation
PRP has three roles in hair transplantation:
  • Revitalizing hair follicles after the hair transplantation procedure (FUE with PRP support)
  • Enabling the quick growth of hair after hair transplantation
  • Enables growth and stimulation of the transplanted hair follicles.
  • Some time is required before transferring the area from which hair follicles are taken to the recipient area. This process is important for hair follicles to live.
  • Extracted hair follicles are stored in specially prepared absorption rooms for this purpose.
In a new method, PRP added to the container or the follicles are multiplied directly with a PRP-solution which takes its positive effect very quickly. The injection of PRP liquid contributes to the life of hair follicle and helps quick healing of scars and helps the growth of hair follicles by stimulating them.
  • Are there any side effects of PRP?
PRP liquid contains the patient’s own blood. There is no allergic reaction or infection risk. Principally it is similar to donating your own blood. The effect of PRP treatment can be different for each recipient. PRP treatment has a supplementary effect. The results of treatment will be seen in time after the treatment. This treatment only supports physical healing.
WHAT IS A HAIR TRANSPLANT IN TURKEY / ISTANBUL?
A hair transplant is a procedure that involves transplanting hair follicles from one area of the head (called the “donor area”) to the thinning area (the “recipient area”). Healthy full-size vigorously growing follicles are moved from the donor scalp to thinning areas to increase the density of growing hair.
HAIR TRANSPLANT PROCEDURES
Below, you can learn more about FUE and FUT, the two primary surgical methods for the excision and transplanting of hair follicles.
FOLLICULAR UNIT EXCISION (FUE) TRANSPLANT IN TURKEY / ISTANBUL
Bosley FUE - Hair Transplant Before and After - Edgar S.
The Bosley FUE is a minimally invasive hair transplantation technique in which follicular unit grafts (containing 1 to 4 hair follicles) are individually removed from the patient’s donor area and then individually transplanted to the recipient area. Bosley’s HAIR BY HAIR® FUE restoration technique creates a hairline that looks completely natural and undetectable.
There are no stitches required there is no linear scar. Your donor area will be virtually undetectable within just a few days
FOLLICULAR UNIT TRANSPLANTATION (FUT) IN TURKEY / ISTANBUL
Bosley FUT - Hair Transplant Before and After - Josh H.
The Bosley FUT procedure involves removing all of the grafts as a group from the back of the head from which the donor hair follicles are extracted. The follicles are then individually transplanted to the recipient areas.
Depending upon the size and shape of the donor area and the demand for grafts, FUT may be the preferred method of graft extraction. However, the extraction process leaves a narrow linear scar on the back of the head. Since the scar will be thin, it’s easily concealed by all but the shortest of haircut styles.
FUE VS. FUT HAIR TRANSPLANTS IN TURKEY / ISTANBUL
If you’re just starting your research into hair transplantation, you’re probably wondering about the difference between an FUE and an FUT. While these procedures are similar, and both offer completely natural-looking results, there are some key differences to consider.

Although patients are administered local anesthetics and other medications, the degree of pain or discomfort experienced during or after the procedure varies according to the patient.
